38th Annual Calumet Camporee

Over the weekend of August 22, Troop 201 attended the 38th Annual Calumet International Camporee. The camporee consisted of various activities that the troops in attendance had to compete in. Examples of some of these events are water bottle rocket shooting, square ball croquet, and a fire ladder building contest. There were also indivdual events that the scouts could compete in, including an Iron Scout Tri-athalon. The most memorable event however, was the Jeep trail that was set up for scouts to ride. After Calumet was over, we also went to the local Armory Museum, and got to see some old tanks and guns from the army. It was a fun weekend for all, and a memorable one too.
